On the way home the other night my son Gene, took this pic with my phone. We usually are well home before the sun is setting but were a bit later this day. Aren't the colours amazing!

I had a call from my girlfreind , carlene the other day. Her daughter, aylar is off to her ist ball! She is very excited about this . She has asked me to make her dress, coz she can't sew a stitch ! So this is what it will look like .... i hope! It is going to be a cream satin underneth and an overlay of flowing chiffon..... just like the picture. I will have to get some pics of her wearing it and will post them in a few weeks after the big event. And it is masqurade ball too. Her other crafty freind is doing the mask for her. can't wait to see it!

my first sock monkey! This is for my nephew for his birthday, i think he will love it! amazing what you can do with a pair of socks! I have put a jingle bell on the end of his tail too.

what's this going to be?..... well I am going to have a go at making a cute sock monkey. I found it over on http://juliesquiltgallery.blogspot.com/ so go on over if you haven't already. It will be for my nephew, chey. He is having a birthday in a couple of weeks, I'm sure he will love it! She also has a tutorial link to do this.

MY STORAGE BOX .

I bought this pretty rose patterned box to store my blocks in , as i make them for the 9 patch quilt along, by crazymomquilts. they fit nice and snug in there. I'll use it for another project when i'm done with this one. I have done another 13 blocks....not sure exactly how many i have done, but think i'm still ahead a bit. These are my latest batch of 13 blocks.

''QUEEN'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND''.

This weekend is a long weekend. Queens birthday . I've been trying to learn how to do hand quilting. I found a book in the local library with some very good pictures . It is a bit tricky learning how to do it but i think im getting there very s l o w l y. . . . I will persevere. I am waiting to hear from the quilt shop when a class is going to be running. so that should help alot. I think it is so much easier to see someone doing it. So this weekend my son conor has two mates staying over, they have been playing his electric guitar and driving me mad !! It is raining outside and they are in the house, being silly as 'tweenys 'are .( 12-13 yr olds) all they seem to do is eat.. eat.. and eat again!! This was taken awile ago as he now has "mullet" growing halfway down his back! He has bad hair days! (ha! ha!)
