i've been making these during the week.

Well last week I had been asked to make 2 dresses for my mates daughter's wedding this saturday. This is what she requested . The dress has a lining then a layer of crushed tafita and then layered with chiffon......real crappy to cut out and sew! A blue satin tie that ties into a big bow at the back.  They don't look that good in the pics but on they are quite cute. She was really pleased with them. I will try and get a pic of them wearing them and post it later.

Here is my gingerboy, Hurly.  He is on his lonesome as his brother never came back. I'm thinking of getting another kitten for company for him, we will see. He has taken over the bed too...sleeps right in the middle of us!

More blocks finished

I have managed to finish 2 more blocks of the lcqal.  one i changed a panel but still not sure i like it , but it can stay like that till all the other blocks are complete  uncase i run out of fabric.  I  love  doing the disappearing nine-patch!  it's so easy it nearly sews itself and you great combinations from one block. 
I am thinking of making my nephew (chey) an' eyespy ' quilt for his birthday in june...hopefully.  I should be finishing some of the 'ufos', that seem to be growing....  just keep sewing, just keep sewing........

Look what arrived in my mailbox a few weeks ago.  at last ...a camera !   Have you noticed i have a few more pics than usual?  My big sister sent me her old one
as she got a flash new one and this one was doing nothing...but it is busy now !  It makes blogging alot more interesting with pics to show and tell. I have figured out how to download to the computer now so i can post a few pics of things.yay!  thanks pamela.
As we are on dial it is sooooo s-l-o-w-w-w..... like you wouldn't beleive.  It takes ages to load the page just to do a new post so often you will see just a pic as that seems to load fast but to write anything is a right pain so i have been going into the local library and editing my stuff. We can't get broadband where we live as we are just in the wrong spot and it will cost heaps to actually get it so this will have to do.
Hopefully over this long weekend i will be doing my lq blocks and maybe some more of the candied hexys that i have not touched for months.

Toaster cover for my mum.

Well this is the toaster cover i made for my mum during the break.  Her little toaster blew up!  I have been trying to talk her into getting a 4 slice one but she was too stubbon. She sent me to the shop with instructions to get one but not a crome one as they leave marks so she got her toaster  and it was white but it was a  4 slice one  as that was all they had in stock!  Yay !  she's getting use to it now. She was just going to throw an old teatowel over it so then i decided to make her a nice cover for it, and the colours go with her kitchen too.
