SSCS PARCEL!



yesterday I received my SSCS parcel. It came from Vickie who lives in australia. Thanks vickie, I love the ornament. It is a cross stitched reversible hanging ornament but i can't show you because he camera has packed a sad and everything comes out pink! Don't know what is wrong with it yet. i will open the other one closer toxmas i think......if i can wait that long.

Today I am trying to finish my bunnyhill bom block. It's nearly done just got to stitch my bird down. Then it will be just 1 more block to do.
I have joined a group on flicker that will be doing "Tea cups and coffeepots". That will be starting next year in january. just post 1 block a month. i should be able to manage that.

I WONDER WHY THESE BIRDS ARE SO FAT!

Well it's because they are stuffing their bellies full of new young kowhai tree shoots! My tree never has leaves on the branches except for the ends. They are to heavy to balance themselves there to be able to eat! I was about 3 feet away from this one as he sat there eating! His mate was there too but flew up to a high tree when he heard the door open. Here is a BIRDSEYE view!! he he!

'I MADE THIS'.

Yesterday I made this yougurt cheese. so easy and very tasty too! I found the recipe here She also makes some other very interesting recipes for soap, flowing soap . lots of very interesting yummy food! go and check out her blog. Here is my yogurt cheeses. I divided it in half after I made it . Flavoured one with half pkt mushroom soup mix , a squirt of tomatoe sauce , add a small can of shrimps, leave for half an hour or so for flavours to mingle then eat. so yummy!! The other i added some cumin , salt to taste ,black pepper. herbs of your choice. I use to make yogurt from scratch all the time, must get back into it . It is so easy!! worth the effort.

Un fortunaely there is something wrong with the camera as it keeps going 'pink' . I don't know why. Does anyone know what would cause this?? help!!

QUICK XMAS SWAP.



Today i received my parcel from my swap partner. Lyn Thankyou lyn, love the wee buttons, so cute and the fabrics too. The ric-rac will be very useful also. I have a project in mind already !

BLOCK 10 A TISKET, A TASKET.



I completed my block 10 from Bunnyhill. Not long till the next one, then only 1 after that. I added a spiders web with spider that i made using a couple of black beads and then stitched on some legs.

I have still not done anymore to my bag yet. I have been finishing my sscs things and they are now done! They turned out quite good, but i can't show you them yet.

BABY THINGS I MADE.

well I haven't blogged for a few weeks because i 'v not done much really. I have nearly finished my bunnyhill b.o.m. and will show you when it is completed, hopefully this weekend. I had to make a baby clutch ball for a lady who wanted a blue one for her grandson. I had this one already done but might do another in blue tones then she can have a pick which one she prefers. I also like to do these bunny's by hand on baby clothes or whatever people like. My mum showed me that this is how she was shown how to make some cute wee bunnies. They are quite cute! They brighten up a plain item of clothing don't you think!

A FEW THINGS I FOUND

While i was a way last week visiting at my mum's, I bought couple of peices of fabrics from the quilt shop . The shop has just recently moved to the main rd and bigger premises. Lots of lovely fabrics to touch and buy! I also got some antique ric-rac given to me . Fay gave me that ,she loves her patchwork too next to her garden that is. It still has the price per mitre on it,, 76 cen
ts.!! I might do jennys shabby roses in the pink fabric..... not sure yet.
My bag has started but i'm thinking about changing the piping..... no hurry to do it.

NO STITCHING.!

Well i have't done a thing all week, don't know why just could't be botherd really, not in the mood. I did have a migraine the other day so didn;t help in the slightest . I am off to my mothers tomorrow for a week, she lives in paeroa , n.z. , as it is 2nd week of the holidays. i'll be glad when they are over!! I take a few projects with me maybe i'll get something done, hope so. might be able to start my bag, it is all cut out but that is all, just have to wait and see.
